Research on the Mouse Olfactory Bulb Neurons is essential to the study of anosmia, Parkinson's-related olfactory dysfunction, Alzheimer's progression, traumatic smell loss, and Zika virus-induced neuronal damage. The olfactory bulb is a neural structure of olfaction (the sense of smell), located in the vertebrate forebrain. It transmits the olfaction signal received from the nose to the amygdala, the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC), and the hippocampus for further processing, learning, and memory.
