Primary Cells
Homo sapiens (Human)
Peripheral nervous system (spinal nerve)
Research on the Human Schwann Cells is essential to the study of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, Guillain-Barré syndrome, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), traumatic nerve injury, and schwannomas (including NF2-related vestibular schwannomas). The spinal cord is a long and cylindrical cord of nerve tissue enclosed in a tubular structure, called the spinal canal. It extends from the base of the brain to the lower back and acts as a communication channel that transmits nerve signals between the brain and the rest of the body. The Human Schwann Cells are to be used with Human Schwann Cell Medium (Cat. No. ACM0103). This product is intended for laboratory in vitro use only. It is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
