Cat. No. ARM0987
Trypsin is a serine protease that dissociate cells from tissues in in vitro culture, and detach adherent cells from the surface of a culture vessel during subculturing. It can digest extracellular matrix proteins to break cell to cell or cell to substrate adhesions, resulting in a cell suspension for further subculturing, harversting, or experimental use. EDTA acts as a calcium chelator to break calcium-dependent cell adhesion and enhance trypsin efficiency. Ascent Research’s Trypsin-EDTA solution contains 0.25% trypsin and 0.02% EDTA. It is sterile and ready-to-use for cell culture.
