NE-4C is a neuroepithelial cell line, established from cerebral vesicles of 9-day-old mouse embryos lacking functional p53 gene. NE-4C cells are able to differentiate into neurons and astrocytes, induced by retinoic acid (RA). It is widely used in neuroscience research.
