MDA-MB-436 is a human triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell line, which means that it lacks estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) expression, as well as HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) amplification. MDA-MB-436 cells has mutations in BRCA1 and TP53, which are related to the regulation of DNA repair. This makes MDA-MB-436 a useful tools to investigate BRCA1 and TP53 associated tumorigenesis. <br> <br> Synonym: MDA_MB_436; MDA MB 436; MDA-Mb-436; MDA-MB436; MDAMB436; MDA-436; MDA436; MB436
