Esophagus
Research on the Human Esophageal Smooth Muscle Cells is essential to the study of achalasia, diffuse esophageal spasm, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and eosinophilic esophagitis-related motility disorders. The esophagus is a muscular tube that connects the throat (pharynx) to the stomach. It uses rhythmic muscular contractions called peristalsis to transport food from the mouth to the stomach. It is divided into cervical, thoracic, and abdominal sections. The Human Esophageal Smooth Muscle Cells are to be used with Human Esophageal Smooth Muscle Cell Medium (Cat. No. ACM0041). This product is intended for laboratory in vitro use only. It is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
