Research on the Human Skeletal Muscle Cells is essential to the study of muscular dystrophies (e.g., Duchenne), sarcopenia, rhabdomyolysis, critical illness myopathy, and statin-induced myopathy. Skeletal muscle is one of the three muscle tissues in the body, the other two are cardiac muscle and smooth muscle. It attaches to bones to enable movement.
