Research on the Human Tonsil Epithelial Cells is essential to the study of recurrent streptococcal pharyngitis, tonsillar crypt abscesses, HPV-related oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) latency infections. The tonsils are two round masses of lymphoid tissue in the back of the throat, near the entrance of the respiratory and digestive tract. It acts as a first line of immune defense against inhaled and ingested pathogens. The Human Tonsil Epithelial Cells are to be used with Human Tonsil Epithelial Cell Medium (Cat. No. ACM0166). This product is intended for laboratory in vitro use only. It is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
