The immortalized human rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast-like synoviocyte is an immortalized cell line derived from the joint tissue of the rheumatoid arthritis donor. Fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS), also referred to as synovial fibroblasts or type B synoviocytes, are specialised cells within the synovium. These cells play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. They are cultured in an adherent manner, exhibiting an epithelial-like morphology.
