Research on the Rabbit Parathyroid Cells is essential to the study of secondary hyperparathyroidism (renal failure-induced), parathyroid adenoma models, calcium-sensing receptor dysfunction, and post-thyroidectomy hypoparathyroidism. The parathyroid glands are small endocrine glands next to the thyroid gland in the neck. Human has two pairs of them (a total of 4). They produce parathyroid hormone, which participates in the regulation of blood calcium, important for muscle movement and nerve transmission. The Rabbit Parathyroid Cells are to be used with Rabbit Parathyroid Cell Medium (Cat. No. ACM0770). This product is intended for laboratory in vitro use only. It is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
