Research on the Rat Adipocytes is essential to the study of metabolic diseases including type 2 diabetes, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. Adipose tissue is a form of connective tissue found throughout the body. It is located under the skin (as subcutaneous fat), surrounding internal organs (as visceral fat), and inside bone cavities (as bone marrow adipose tissue). Although it has long been recognized for its role in storing energy, insulating the body, and protecting internal organs, recent research has identified adipose tissue as an active player in the endocrine system. Adipocytes are used in research on obesity and metabolic disorders, endocrinology, inflammation, and immune response. The Rat Adipocytes are to be used with Rat Adipocyte Medium (Cat. No. ACM0333). This product is intended for laboratory in vitro use only. It is not intended for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical applications.
