Hematologic and Lymphoid Neoplasms

Hematologic and Lymphoid Neoplasms are cancers of blood-forming tissues, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes. This category covers hematologic cancer cell lines, leukemia cell lines (myeloid and lymphoid), lymphoma cell lines (Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin),and multiple myeloma lines.

Specific AML cell lines (acute myeloid leukemia) include HL-60 (promyelocytic, differentiates into neutrophil-like cells with DMSO), KG-1 (myeloblast), MOLM13 (AML with MLL rearrangement, sensitive to DOT1L inhibitors), MV4-11 (AML with MLL rearrangement, used for FLT3 inhibitor studies), and THP-1 (acute monocytic leukemia, differentiates into macrophages with PMA).
CML cell lines (chronic myeloid leukemia) include K562 (erythroleukemia, BCR-ABL positive, used for NK cell cytotoxicity assays and imatinib studies) and KU812 (basophilic leukemia).
ALL cell lines (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) include NALM6 (B-ALL, used for CAR-T cell testing), Jurkat (T-ALL, used for T-cell signaling and apoptosis), CCRF-CEM (T-ALL), and REH (B-ALL).
CLL cell lines (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) include MEC-1, JVM-2, and HG-3; these are harder to grow but available.

Specific Examples include:
HL-60 is a promyelocytic leukemia line that can be differentiated into neutrophil-like cells with DMSO or into macrophage-like cells with PMA. K562 is a CML line in blast crisis; it expresses BCR-ABL and is used for drug screening (imatinib, nilotinib) and as a target for NK cells. Jurkat is a T-ALL line used extensively for TCR signaling, NF-κB activation, and apoptosis studies (e.g., Fas/FasL). Raji is a Burkitt’s lymphoma B-cell line (EBV-positive), used for B-cell receptor signaling, complement-dependent cytotoxicity, and as target cells. U937 is a histiocytic lymphoma line (AML-like), used for differentiation studies and cytokine production. THP-1 is an acute monocytic leukemia line that differentiates into macrophages with PMA; used for phagocytosis, inflammasome, and atherosclerosis studies. NALM6 is a B-ALL line used for CAR-T cell efficacy testing and drug screening. MV4-11 is an AML line with FLT3-ITD mutation, used for FLT3 inhibitor testing (e.g., quizartinib). MOLM13 is another AML line with MLL rearrangement and FLT3-ITD; used for targeted therapy studies. KG-1 is an AML line that expresses CD34; used for stem cell biology and differentiation studies. Daudi is a Burkitt’s lymphoma B-cell line (EBV-negative), used for complement studies and as target for NK cells. Ramos is a Burkitt’s lymphoma B-cell line (EBV-negative), used for B-cell activation and apoptosis studies. HL60 (duplicate) is included for completeness.

Researchers use hematologic cancer cell lines, leukemia cell lines, lymphoma cell lines for drug screening, differentiation studies, and immunotherapy development. K562 is used for natural killer cell assays because it is highly sensitive to NK lysis; it is also used for erythroid differentiation studies (hemin induction). Jurkat is standard for T-cell signaling; it is used to study NFAT, AP-1, and NF-κB pathways. THP-1 differentiates into macrophage-like cells and is used for phagocytosis, LPS response, and inflammasome activation (NLRP3). Raji and Daudi are used for B-cell lymphoma models and for testing rituximab efficacy. Our hematologic cancer cell lines are authenticated by STR profiling and tested for mycoplasma and common genetic mutations. Whether you need AML cell lines like MV4-11 for FLT3 inhibitor screening, CML cell lines like K562 for BCR-ABL studies, or ALL cell lines like NALM6 for CAR-T cell development, our Hematologic and Lymphoid Neoplasms category supports your leukemia and lymphoma research with well-characterized, reproducible models.
