Male Reproductive System

The male reproductive system consists of organs responsible for sexual function and urination. These organs are divided into two groups, the internal part: the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, prostate, and the external part: the scrotum and penis. Under the regulation of hormones secreted by several glands, male reproductive system produce, maintain, transport, and discharge sperm cells and semen for fertilization, and produce male sex hormone (such as testosterone) for male development.

Research on the male reproductive system involves studying fertility, hormonal regulation and modeling conditions and disorders of reproductive system. In these category, various cells of the male reproductive system are provided, such as testis cells (such as leydig cells and sertoli cells), prostate cells (including prostate basal cells and prostate epithelial cells), seminal vesicle cells, epididymis cells and corpus cavernosum cells.
